The German Corporate Governance Codex 2017 was published by Federal Gazette on April 24, 2017 (§ 161 AktG). In this context the governmental commission decided on several modifications to the codex by which the self-responsibility of a board should be further emphasized. Furthermore, the modifications are supposed to contribute to more transparency for a better assessment of the corporate governance by the stakeholders.
